Ard Boyz List

I was thinking about playing in the Ard Boyz this year. I probably will not because it's one weekend before the big waaagh. I thought I would put a list together anyway. A lot of the list is simply the models I have... so I know it isn't as Ard as it could be. 2500 is a bit much. I think this list is ok for some of the smaller more local Ard Boyz. This list in no way could compete with a later down the road ard boyz list, so even if I did win I wouldn't go to round 2. What do you all think about the list and the Ard Boyz in general?

Needs more drop pods.

Looks like a fun list to play and play against.

I'd like to see more than three scoring units - but I am not sure about the Ard Boyz rules/scenarios or if there is anything in Codex:Space Marines that will allow more of the army to score. So maybe it will be a non-issue.

Other then that it looks killy to me.

On second thought can you still split the Tac Squads in-game? That would certainly take care of it.

I agree with you dave. However I only have 3 rhinos built (other 3 on sprues and I dont feel like building them now) and Marines on foot are basically a waste of points in a tourney like ard boyz. I don't think I'll be going at all though.

Well I will say this about 'ard boys the only list I saw with a lot of troop choices was a CSM list with 2 lashes. He had lots of cheap daemons. The rest of the lists had a max of 4 troop choices. That may change since 5th but a lot of people bring elites, fast attacks and heavy’s or bad ass hq's. I am sure you will see Gazskull Thrakka and Calgar.
